Llullaillaco (6.739 msnm)
Expedition to the second highest active volcano in the world, following the archaeological route carved out hundreds of years ago by the Incas, the region's ancient inhabitants.
Along the way, we'll come across numerous archaeological remains and visit the site where the three Lullaillaco mummies were found, currently on display at the Salta High Mountain Museum.

With one of the most stunning mountain approaches through Vallecitos, Cerro del Plata offers privileged views. This 5- to 7-day expedition is an ideal preparation for Aconcagua.

In the middle of the Atacama Puna, an arid region, rises one of the most beautiful and challenging volcanoes in the mountain range. Its desert environment, with its intense colors, creates the perfect biome for condors, flamingos, and vicuñas.

Join us as we explore the best mountain trails, among peaks, glaciers, and high-altitude lagoons. We'll camp under the stars and immerse ourselves in the immensity of the Andes. No previous experience is required.
Both the duration and the route are tailored to the client. Minimum group size: 6 people, maximum 12.
Full mountain range on a private flight
Aboard our private aircraft, we’ll fly from Buenos Aires to El Chaltén – Bariloche – Mendoza – Fiambalá – back to Buenos Aires. Four destinations where we’ll trek, ice-climb, sail, reach Aconcagua’s base camp, soak in natural hot springs, and summit some of the highest volcanoes on Earth. A one-of-a-kind expedition spanning nearly 1,000 km along the Andes, immersing you in four distinct biomes—from the razor-edged southern peaks to the volcanic puna of the north.

Our Team
Juan Carlos Baez
Juan Carlos has been a mountain guide since 2021, specializing in high-altitude, rock, and ice climbing. He has summited Aconcagua 13 times and made more than 30 high-altitude ascents in the Andes.
He also has extensive experience in rescues and high-risk operations.
He is CEO of Gauchos Expeditions® and general coordinator of the team.
Lucho Roldán
Lucho is a mountain explorer and a sailing and motorboat yachtmaster. At Gaucho Expeditions®, he is responsible for expedition logistics, planning, and multimedia production.
Fede Juncosa
Fede is a mountain explorer, airplane pilot, and at Gaucho Expeditions® he is in charge of meteorology, communications, and security.
